Re: 2004 V70R "BRAKE FAILURE - STOP SAFELY" among other issu
Best bet is to swap to a known working BCM (ABS module). If you have DSTC you may not get an exact match of sw configuration (not sure about std or STC type BCM), but all error codes and symptoms may/should go away (except sw config, but no biggie). A faulty BCM can throw all sorts of error codes in...

Re: 2002 s60 check engine light and front dash speakers
That's a needle in the haystack question. Pull the codes with an OBD2 scanner.

coflynn - I like your vid. You are actually almost at the same latitude as the Volvo factory.

Re: 01 Volvo V70 T5 Wagon - front suspension dropped 1"
deadmerida - definitely not the rubber strut mounts (spring seats). When they go the front suspension bangs when you drive over pot holes, and you are right the shock piston, as seen in the engine compartment, sticks up if you rhythmically start to push down on your front fender and get the suspensi...

01 Volvo V70 T5 Wagon - front suspension dropped 1"
My left (driver side) front suspension has dropped about 1". I checked the arms, spring, rubber parts etc. Everything checks out nicely and the pesky rubber spring seat that often breaks was changed not too long ago, so I know very well what happens if that one is busted, so it is not that. The...

01 Volvo V70 T5 Wagon - clicking motor in dash navi display
My "in the dash" GPS/Navigator display started to make intermittent sounds when it is in the down position. It sounds like the motor that pushes it up is making a brief attempt to start, but the display stays down, and the navi system is turned off. If I turn on the navi system it comes up...

Re: 2001 S60 Position Bulb, but bulbs are good
Bulb holder is probably corroded and the increased resistance triggers the error, however the bulb is still lit, but at a slightly dim level (hard to detect by the eye). I think the holders are like five bucks each, simple and cheap to fix.

Re: 2003 V70 DSTC Brake Pressure Sensor #2 Twice 14 months?
You do not explain if the problem occurs all the time or intermittently, but it sounds like an intermittent BCM failure from your symptoms. Perhaps the quick check at Xemodex does not trigger the intermittent problem? Ever tried a different BCM? Just note, they self configure to your car on first in...

Re: 2005 v70 ticking
Sounds like a cam position issue. The ticking can perhaps be unrelated. Make sure you have oil pressure at idling, in case the ticking goes away when revving the engine. Make sure you have good oil filter with not too much pressure loss (e.g. Volvo OEM) Make sure you have good oil thickness (not ful...
