1990 740 Turbo Wagon in Albany NY, parts or whole

I have a 1990 740 turbo wagon. I cant get it running properly. Seems like it isnt hitting on all 4 cylinders. I dont have any more time to play with it. I will sell the whole car for 650, but its days as a complete car are numbered. I will probably start taking parts next week. The car is red, paint...

I didnt see the decal, and I really dont know how else to tell if the conversion was done. I suspect it wasnt though. I dont know if the system has any leaks. Is there a way to check other than putting the freon into the system? I know I should use the dyed freon to find leaks.

740 A/C retrofit, or what about that imitaion r12 stuff?

I have an 87 turbo 740 wagon that I was considering trying to get the air conditioning working on so I would have a cold car on those hot summer days. I dont think I will fix my 98 V70XC's air because it just looks like to big of a job. I found there are generic retrofit kits I assume would work for...

91 240 runs for 2-3 seconds then quits?

Newest dilemma, 91 240 will start and run for 2-3 seconds then quit. It will not stay running. New sending unit, computer, amm. I am thinking there is an obvious cure. Anyone?

Shorting out circuit board in dash instrument cluster

A friend replaced the instrument cluster in his 94 940 non turbo, to fix the intermittent speedo and gas gauge. He put the replacement cluster in and when turning on the parking lights it shorted out and burned a spot on the circuit board. So he put the original one back in and it did the same thing...

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check the cables, although they looked clean as can be the last time I looked at them. I had the intake off last year to do the pcv replacement and the cable to the starter didnt look bad. I will check the ground. I did think it could be the air pump because the el...

Pulsing headlights and dashlights on 98 V70?

Its been around 20 balmy degrees here in upstate NY. When I first start out driving at night my electrical system has a pulsing. The headlights and dash lights dim, as well as the heater fan slows too. This happens every 5 seconds for 1 second, and repeats. I thought maybe it was the A/C compressor ...

You can get an abs module rebuild for about $80 from bba-reman. I bought their service on ebay, and I sent mine in and had it back in the same week. Works great. The only thing I can say is get the proper socket to take the bolts out. I used a socket that was close and stripped the head. I was lucky...
