Thank you for the response. I smoke tested the filler tube and didn’t see anything. I’ll keep looking.

1990 240DL Sedan- Help! - fuel smell with windows cracked

Hello, I have researched the forum and Google about this and I have tried to find it. If I am driving and crack the windows or sunroof, the cabin smells of gas fumes. So much so that it will make you dizzy and nauseous in about 15 minutes. If I keep windows up and recirculate on there is no smell. I...

It ran pretty good tonight on the way home. But earlier, it would bog when pulling out into traffic. Driving me crazy!!!

Re: I have tried everything- does anyone have an ECU they would sell? 1990 240DL

Well, I just had the manifold off and actually cleaned and polished it. I replaced several of the hoses like the ones to the IAC. I installed new gaskets. The vacuum did go up a little to about 16 at idle. (I have a gauge in the dash.) I put silicone grease around the new injectors. My flex hose is ...

I have tried everything- does anyone have an ECU they would sell? 1990 240DL

Hello, I have my 1990 240 that I bought new. I upgraded the ECU years ago from the bad 556. I have replaced injectors, MAF, all vacuum lines, TPS, IAC, Temp Sensors, Oxy Sensor and other things. I do have a VX camshaft that I put in 20 years ago. My car idles a little rough but it will run pretty go...

1994 850 Turbo- Wheel shake when off throttle

Hello,
Under acceleration the car does perfect, no wobble and it tracks straight. If you let off the throttle, there is a slight pull to the left and a noticeable wobble in the left front. What could that be? It is very strange. I appreciate your help!

1990 Volvo 240- Bizarre Temp Gauge Isssues

My temp gauge read really low for a while and then it read high, just below the red. Sometimes it would just drop suddenly. So I bypassed the temp compensating board. No change. I bought a new sensor, no change. I grounded the lead and it went high but not all of the way. IF I unplug it it goes down...

Re: Passenger Side Hood Latch Won't Release

Open! I had my son push DOWN on the hood after it had already opened on the driver's side and it popped, first try. Now I am going to go about adjusting and lubricating to avoid this in the future. Thanks for the help. It is funny after messing with it by myself for an hour, to having open first try...

Re: Passenger Side Hood Latch Won't Release

Hmm, That makes sense. Many of the other posts wanted you to pull up on the hood and then pull the lever. Your way makes more sense. I will try it tonight.
