Re: Idler Pulley Removal Update
UPDATE: I attempted to take the motor mount out that is located at the crank. I got the front bolt off but the rear one would not come out despite many efforts and penetrating oil. It just was not going to come out. I called in some extra help and we came up with a unique solution. Right above where ...

Re: Just bought a 2000 S80, new to Volvo vehicle's and need help
If you have a volt meter you can check the battery in the car. Otherwise you can take it out and to any number of parts stores and they can put it on their machine and see if it is good or not. If it is good that points to other issues like the alternator. Since you just bought it I would contact ...

Re: Idler Pulley Removal
I managed to get a hold of a Volvo tech. On the S80 the engine has to be unbolted form the mounts and either lifted or lowered to get the bolt to slide out. I am going to attempt taking the lower motor mount out and lowering the engine this weekend since a lot more is involved in lifting it out. It ...

Re: 2009 S80 windshield washer jet
I just bought an 09 S80, none of the jets work. I investigated and the head lamp pump is not running but the wind screen pump is. However nothing would come out the hood nozzles. I think they may be clogged. Not sure if you have resolved the problem yet since this post is an old post. Let me know ...

I just had the same problem start happening today. Took several attempts to get it started eventually it started and had a really rough idle that eventually smoothed out. Drove it, restarted it, every thing seems fine. No codes. Have you figured out the problem? I am suspecting maybe the cam ...

2009 S80 V8 AWD Known Issues w/Drivetrain
I am contemplating buying this car. I am very familiar with the old reliable 5cyl fwd. I have not been able to find any information about the AWD drive train and 4.4L V8. Anyone have anything they could tell me about this?

Re: 2001 V70 EVAP Codes Reoccur After Repairs
After tracing every hose on the system looking for leaks and replacing a few suspicious lines. I reset the codes and noticed something odd. After clearing codes again I noticed the check engine light came on instantly on start up. That made me a think it could have been electrical since in was ...

Re: '01 v70 base, limp home, no codes, terrible rumble at st
I have the same v70 base. I got a recall notice a few years ago that there was a software problem that would cause the car in to limp mode for no reason. It never did it while I was driving thankfully. The dealer will reprogram all affected cars at no charge. In case some one is facing this problem ...
