Have you called anyone to see what the code is for specifically? I had a trans code early in the year that was for the torque converter solenoid, after having the dreaded flashing arrow come on with no symptoms (I was hoping it was the shift switch). This solenoid was located inside the trans, so it...

Sure, just follow the link (it's from a '00, Volvo's site isn't working for the '98 online owner's manual this weekend). I've removed it before and it's easy.

Now, about the mailbox......

Thanks, Matt. But it isn't the recline, it's the tilt that went out...specifically the back tilt. Also, I can't hear the motor running, just the initial click when I press the button. All the other functions work fine.

Headlight bulb recommendation - Sylvania SilverStar

To anyone who, like me, is complaining about their headlights seeming dim, I finally got around to replacing mine today. Coughed up the rediculous amount of approx. $40 at the big W for 2 Sylvania SilverStar light bulbs. I've purchased bulbs before that claimed to be bright, with no noticeable diffe...

Power seat problem

Today I was moving the seat and the tilt at the back side suddenly stopped. I can still hear the initial "click" at the switch and "click" at the motor(?) when I first press the switch, but it doesn't move. All other movements (front tilt, back & forth, recline) are OK, so it...

Took mine in a few weeks ago and had a tune-up. The engine is even smoother and runs even better, but vibration coming through steering wheel is still there. Mechanic said it is definitely caused from an engine mount, but which one?! He said it is very rare to have to replace the other mounts (upper...

Ryan, Just my opinion, but if you can afford it now I would definitely buy the additional warranty - ONLY IF IT COVERS AT LEAST ALL MAJOR COMPONENTS, and preferably electrical gadgets as well. Really look into it because there are a lot of lousy warranties out there. $600 is easily spent on a repair...

The mystery continues... Drove a friend's '95 850 today with a few more miles than my S70, and he drove mine. His also has a new poly upper mount (like mine), and to reiterate, I've had a lower mount replaced also. His=no vibration, very smooth engine. He said he noticed mine, sitting at traffic lig...
