1998 S70 Turbo/downpipe gasket
Anyone know about the gasket between the turbine outlet and the downpipe on this car? There is a raised lip around the turbo flange, and a recess on the downpipe that it fits into. The only gasket I've been able to find for it is this one: https://s3.amazonaws.com/fcp-product-photography-us/public/a...

Re: 1998 S70 turbo oil supply location
Thank you! That is way lower than I remember it being, and nowhere near where I was looking. Well, probably like 6 inches away from where I was looking... I'll check it out.
(Holy crap that engine is clean. How'd they do that?)

1998 s70 turbo oil supply location
Does anyone have a picture clearly showing where this pipe connects to the block? I took mine apart a few years ago to fix bent valves after losing my timing belt, and now I can't remember where everything goes. I thought I had found it by feeling around, but the hole I found is too small. The data ...

Re: To belt or not to belt...that is the question 98 V70
If you decide to drive it with the old belt, just be ready to switch if off at the first sign of strangeness under the hood. When I lost my timing belt, I had about 3 seconds warning as the water pump gave out. Squeal, "Is that steam?", engine locked up. Your car, your choice, but the peop...

Re: 95 850 NA hard to start when cold, on warm days
I probably just joined up so that I could see attachments, or maybe I had a question that I never got around to asking. My first 850 was around that time. (My second is a 1998 S70 T5, currently in my garage getting the world's slowest ever involuntary water pump, timing belt and head job. The slow s...

95 850 NA hard to start when cold, on warm days
It usually starts almost normally when warm after driving it for a while, but first thing in the morning, it cranks and cranks before starting. Difficulty seems to track the ups and downs of ambient temperature in the spring. Check engine light is not on. OBD-II gives no codes. Starter now needs to ...
