My 1996 850 Turbo used to get great mileage. Low 20s in town and close to 30 on the highway. All of a sudden I had a huge drop in mpg. I have a 96 850 Turbo with 163,000 that I just bought. I make it a point to change the oil on any new/used car I get, but was wondering if I should start using synthetic, even though the previous owner was using regular oil.

When I first start the car it has a hard time going from 1st to 2nd until it warms up. Once it is warm, it shifts fine. Checked the fluid. Any suggestions?
