Rust prevention in front doors on V70
I have swapped out 2 doors (drivers and passengers) because of salt getting behind the mid height door trim....the door ding saver. Volvo has a hole through the door skin at the front of the moulding so that salt can migrate in behind the door skin. Even is you oil spray (I do like crazy) eventually...

Hi, The internet of things told me to look at the DDM. I swapped in my old DDM and like magic I have a fully functioning door that doesn't have a massive rust hole in it.

Hi all, I swapped in a door from a 2001 V70, 2.4NA, automatic onto my 2004 V70, 2.4NA 5sp. Everything worked with the old door. With the new door in place and wiring harness connected only the interior lights will work when the door is opened or closed. The mirror doesn't work, the outside temperatu...

Off to Walmart to get one of their 900 CCA batteries from Johnson Controls or whomever bought them.
Nice thing about these bricks is lots of room for the larger battery

It wasn't on a V70 but for removing motorcycle valve seals. Take a flat screwdriver you don't like that's maybe 1/4"ish wide, get a torch, a small propane one will do. Heat the tip going back about an inch, bend the tip into a short hook a little tighter than 90 deg. and let it cool. You now ha...
