Re: Driver Side rear banging noise

While you're under there, I would take a look at those inner DL bushings anyway.

Re: P80 delta link time 3516122

A quick tip for making the old Delta Link bushings easier to remove. I just did all of the DL bushings in the wife's 855 a coupe months back. Run a drill bit along the top of the old bushing to break apart the (plastic) sleeve. (It was 5/16-ish, I think). Then it comes out with minimal fuss. Even ha...

Re: Driver Side rear banging noise

It is also possible that the inner Delta Link bushing has failed. The one that connects the DL arms to each other. They usually split the bracket around the bushing and can rattle around.

WTB- 850 (Wagon)Parts in Pewter Silver Metallic (419)

While the majority of the wife's '97 GLT is in pretty good shape, there are a few body pieces we're looking for to replace some of the "worn" bits. We're looking for the following parts in Pewter Silver Metallic (419): - Passenger fender - Front and rear bumper covers - Hood The hood is really low o...

Re: Problems after fuel filter replacement

I guess I also missed the "month ago" part. Yes, I would expect it to adjust by now, if it was possible. I was going to suggest an R&R of the fittings again, but you also mentioned that priming the system multiple times before trying to start the car doesn't improve things, so it seemed moot. Have y...

Re: Problems after fuel filter replacement

I guess I should've specified fuel trim and not necessarily fuel pressure.

I've only recently started messing with M4.4 tuning/flashing, so I'm still learning details here and there.

Re: Problems after fuel filter replacement

You know more about the Motronic M4.4 than I do, I imagine, but is there a chance that the ECU adjusted starting parameters based on fuel delivery with the old filter? Would an ECU reset help?

Re: Rear swaybar 850 turbo.

The wife's '97 GLT didn't have a rear bar on it. The rear end always felt a bit "wollowy".

It has a set of 850R bars on it now.

Re: Overheating - 1997 850 GLT

Is it leaking coolant onto the ground? Is it blowing white smoke? Is the radiator fan coming on? Sounds like you have an external leak (hose, etc) that was never addressed, and now you've overheated it a few times. If it wasn't a headgasket initially, it probably is now. FIRST, find where that coola...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)

Used the 850 OBD-II app to verify that my auto trans mode switch is actually working, even though there are no lights on the switch, and the shift arrow is not working (even though I checked the bulb and it was good). The app "Live" function showed the mode change from all 3 settings on the switch, ...
