Thanks for the diagram! It is actually item 8 in the diagram. The cut out in item 14 is for that metal nub that broke off when the parking brake went. Anynidea what item 8 is called? Seems i could get to that following the diagram but looks like a whole bunch of stuff hooks on to it. Cheers

Hi all, rear parking brake disintegrated. In the chaos the wheel nub that holds the parking brake in the drum broke. Not the brake part but a rectangular metal piece of the wheel hub itself. Anyone experience this and how to replace or fix this?

Thanks for suggestions of the issue! Y'all were spot on!!! The cam seal was popped off. Put a rubber glove over the oil filler and it blew the glove up. Pcv must be clogged and thus the pressure popped the cam seal off. I took cover off and could watch the oil spit out. Wish i could figure out how ...

Just to provide closure for anyone in the future with this issue. The short circuit from the broken wires in the tailgate ended up damaging the REM. That is what caused the dim high mount.
