How does the v70 do with suspensions pieces and bushings?
I feel like the xc90 seems to have a bunch more things to replace then v70. With the weight of xc90 seems like it would reek havoc on suspension and bushings pieces. I just don’t want to pay for the rear bushings when they go.
Any thoughts?

Trade: 2008 XC90 3.2 for 2005+ v70
Looking to trade my Black 2008 XC90 3.2 with 149k. I bought this car in March 2018 with the intent of driving it for many years to come. Volvo did full tune up and inspection. Replaced complete rear differential and abs ring, $2800 . Brand new tires. All fluids changed. New rotors and pads all aroun...

V50 Reliability
I’m not enjoying my XC90’s mpg and I need a wagon. Basically I need better mpg, reliability and a boot to haul the dogs around. The XC90 is a pita to work on in the driveway and everything is rusting. I want something smaller, user friendly and reliable. I work 15miles from home on back roads and a ...

Trading 2008 xc90 for 2006 v70 2.5t
I’m thinking of trading my 2008 xc90 149,000 for a 2006 v70 with 133,000 + cash. My dog recently was injured and can’t jump into the xc90. Plus I’m seeing a lot of expensive repairs in the near future with the xc90. It just had rear differential replaced and abs fixed. V70 just had timing belt and w...

Re: Steam from Grill
No lights on dash, All fluids are fine. I was talking to a guy at work with a big chevy truck and mentioned this and he stated he has seen steam coming from his grill after cold wet morning commutes.
I REALLY hope I don't need to change the radiator

Steam from Grill
It was 24 degrees F this morning and after getting to work 30 minute back country drive there was steam coming out of the grill and up over the hood. Is this normal because I have never seen this before on any of my cars in the past. I know the XC90 sits differently so it might be normal but sure fr...

Re: Vibration at low speed
I have this same issue in my 2008 with 145K on the clock. After I pull out of my driveway I have a slight hill that I have to go up and since I drive for gas mileage (hahah I know) I tend to accelerate at a slower speed then everyone else. I just assumed it was because it was cold and not warmed up ...

Power Wrench for Suspension Work
Looks like I will be doing some suspension work in the near future (control arms, some bushings, etc) Im so tired of spraying rust be gone and using a 3-4ft breaker bar. I don't have the ability to use air tools. So I have been looking at the plug in wrenches. Anyone use one that can give some buyin...

Low Battery
I rolled down my windows yesterday and kept the key in the ignition for about a minute turned to the 1st position, dash lights on. Well after about 1 minute I heard a weird BEEP :? and it said low battery. I figured I needed a new battery but I read somewhere that it could also be caused by a bad al...

Re: Rear tailgate handle broken
You are taking about the outside handle to lift the rear hatch or the handle for the tiny tailgate to drop? The outside rear hatch is sticking in both our xc's. Looks like the pin or metal is rusted out. We can open them but then I have to stick a screw driver back in to pry the handle back out for ...
