Re: V70 cooling fan p/n 30749759
I don't know what is happening and why I am seeing such a high voltage. 2.8V is usually one of the choices for a digital signal, a common other being 5V. The fact that it is 2.8V irrespective of fan speed setting just goes to make me believe that to be the case even more. The fact that, in my case, ...

Re: V70 cooling fan p/n 30749759
I checked last night and there is a disconnect in the purple/mauve lead running from the fusebox to the fan. I cut it inside the fusebox and by the fan plug and ran a jumper ..... I see 11.03V (battery voltage as battery not the best) no matter what fan speed I command. I plugged in the fan and noth...

V70 cooling fan p/n 30749759
The radiator cooling fan on my 2005 V70 2.5T has decided to die now that the weather is getting hot. I have tried 2 from scrapyard as well as the original and neither will run when triggerd with VIDA/DICE. The new price is somewhat silly at around $500US with lots of Google searching. Anybody have a...

Re: Brake booster sensor '05 V70
SOLVED - I have cruise control!
Make sure the rubber is pushed over the shoulder on the brake booster and push the ring into the locking clip on the booster sensor with a flat blade screwdriver.

Brake booster sensor '05 V70
I am replacing the brake booster sensor on my '05 V70 2.5T AWD I can't get the new snap ring (or old one either) to lock in the new booster sensor. Any hints/tips? I put the ring on the housing and then pushed the new booster into position but it won't lock and I can pull it back out again. Help! .....

DEM flow charts
Does anyone have access to these? http://xemodex.com/us/diagnostic-flow-charts/ I don't know if there is a problem with their website but I can't get to this and I have tried both Firefox and Chrome with the same results. Reason I am looking for them ...... my AWD doesn't work on my '05 V70 with Vid...

Dash indicator that I can't read ......
2005 Volvo V70 2.5T AWD estate/wagon My dash keeps flashing up "panne d'ampoule feu de position" after I hooked up mate's trailer ..... car originally sold in Quebec and no I don't speak French. And yes I googled it but all results are in French and I don't understand them. Seems to be say...

Re: 2005 V70 AWD - misfire at idle
Replacing the coil fixed the misfire :) Yay. Here is a link to the pic of the OTP showing how oval it is ...... other end has a steel insert, this end has a steel insert sitting loosely in the rubber connector. My guess is the steel insert stops the pipe being crushed, as it has been, when the clamp...

Re: 2005 V70 AWD - misfire at idle
I had a little time to do some digging today .... probably cos I had to quit work early as the bugger was now misfiring a LOT and not just at idle. Vida/Dice tells me I have a misfire at idle from cylinder 1 at startup ..... I pulled the plugs, they are new, and they are quite pale which I assume to...

Re: 2005 V70 AWD - misfire at idle
Thanks for the pointers ...... I did change the plugs a little while back before the ETM/ETA failed thinking that the lumpiness could be those. I will try and get time today to plug in the VIDA/DiCE unit and see what it says ..... got a little sidetracked by a lower balljoint going that I am hoping ...
