Car alarm randomly going off on hot days

Hello! Random odd issue with my '06 V50, which has been progressively getting worse. The car alarm keeps randomly going off, I've noticed typically on hot days when the car is parked in the sun. It's the chime/whistle alarm, not the alarm that also has the horn honking. My issue is similar to this t...

DS Window Regulator Issue, Upper Electronic Module question

Hello! I bought a 2001 V70 XC last week, with 155,xxx miles. Car has lots of little cosmetic issues, got a fantastic deal on it. Working on restoring it to all its glory for my wife to drive. Firstly, DS door window. Pulled panel off, actuating arms had come off of window track, and regulator arms w...

Re: Power Hesitation at Cruising Speed, No Codes Topic is solved

Follow-up: Wiring loom and connections for fuel pressure sensor is fine. Replaced fuel pressure sensor, reset OBD codes, no issues since. Have driven ~200 miles since sensor replacement with 0 issues. One thing about replacing the sensor I will say, the fuel rail will still have pressure and be full...

Re: Power Hesitation at Cruising Speed, No Codes Topic is solved

Before replaceing the Fuel Pressure Sensor, check the Fuel Pressure Sensor loom for: 1. Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact in connectors or connections. 2. Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable 3. Open-circuit in the signal cable 4. Open-circuit in the signal ground cable T...

Re: Power Hesitation at Cruising Speed, No Codes Topic is solved

Update: after 1.5 weeks with the symptoms, and 3 tanks of gas (bad fuel/water in fuel now ruled out), car finally threw the following confirmed codes: P0090, and P0193, with an additional P0088 code pending. It's looking like the fuel rail pressure sensor is failing. Couple threads on the code on Sw...

Power Hesitation at Cruising Speed, No Codes Topic is solved

Hello! Odd little issue with my 2006 V50 T5. Started about 1 week ago. Issue typically happens when cruising on the freeway, after 5-15 miles on the freeway, the car will hiccough or stumble a bit. Speed barely dips, RPMs barely change, it almost feels as if the transmission slips then re-engages. I...

Re: Passenger Side View Mirror 2011 C70

There should only be one way the mirror itself can be oriented into the mirror housing. If you have the correct mirror, tabs should be pointed towards the car. When removing the old mirror, did you properly separate it from the flat plastic "paddle" that the mirror is glued to? Or did you remove tha...

Re: "Check Stop Lamp" warning, 06 V50 Topic is solved

Was able to get this warning resolved. All stop lamps started working again after some more fiddling and contacts cleaning/sanding in the bulb sockets, but I was still getting the check stop lamp warning. Disconnected the battery for a few minutes, and reconnected, haven't had the warning pop back u...

"Check Stop Lamp" warning, 06 V50 Topic is solved

Hello! Bit of an odd issue with my V50. I started getting the "Check Stop Lamp" warning, and it looked like 2 or 3 of the diodes in the center tail lamp had gone out. Not knowing it was LED, I removed the center tail lamp, and took apart the housing to see if it was a mini bulb that could be swapped...

Re: Wiper brands that fit P&H v50 arms? Topic is solved

Hello! Follow up here, I figured it out! Autzone and Advance auto were both listing incorrect wipers as being compatible. From what I can tell, I think some early model V50s had a different wiper arm. Most after 2005 have the P&H (pin and hook) style wiper arms. I found that the Bosch Icon OE wiper ...
