I might have the chance to sell my 2005 V70 2.4 auto and pickup either a 2005 V50 T5 AWD M66 121k or a 2011 C30 T5 M66 28k salvage title.

The V50 has a few issues (AC, rear hatch doesn't want to open, minor body damage).

The C30 looks amazing but salvage title...

chrism - I didn't get a chance to try this. I didn't remove the thermo housing so I wasn't able to remove the bolt. I did tighten it but not to 22Nm.

I got it off but definitely smoothed out the bolt head a little. I did not take off the thermostat housing.

While I'm this deep is there anything else I should replace?

Short time luker, first time poster.

I'm doing a PCV replacement on my P2 V70 at 62k miles, it started consuming oil at an alarming rate.

I am having trouble loosening that last passenger side lower bolt.

Any tips other than a universal joint and wobble extension?

I have the same car as OP with same symptoms. 62k miles, not sure about timing belt.

I just bought home a 2005 V70 2.4t and it has a quite a bit of oil underneath on the driver's side. It's even wicked way back along the brake lines.

I've read it could be the cam seal, RMS (rear main seal?), turbo return line, or something else I can't remember.

Is this a straightforward fix? I ...
