Clockspring broke, srs light on
Hello there guys so this morning pulling out of my driveway when I was turning wheel to lock on the left it got stuck right before lock and I knew what it was and I went to lock hoping the wires would tighten (after doing my steering rack I moved my wheel and didn't put in enough slack for the wires...

Re: 96 850 A/C condensor question
Ok great, I figured run it for 10 seconds then wait 10 or 20 then run 10 seconds etc, I have looked at their list of tools and didn't remember seeing one but I will go in and ask if they have one. Is it the same procedure? Like having to run the compressor I mean or do I simply pull a vacuum and see...

Re: 96 850 A/C condensor question
MIJ, I was hoping to avoid that because I almost guarantee it wont hold and I not only dont wanna throw away the money I dont want to essentially vent the Freon straight into the environment, I'm of the age where I will be feeling the consequences of it lol I want to simply put pressure in the syste...

Re: 96 850 A/C condensor question
Along these lines, I got a Volvo thats been sitting for the last few years and of course there's no pressure in the ac system, ac also doesn't cycle. So just curious how does filling it with compressed air go? Does one have to worry about adding in lubricant if its been longer than the op's fill, sh...

Re: Question about transmission flush method
Will do thanks, I did notice dampness where the lower transmission line attaches but the coolant level was normal so I'm not sure if ita coolant or transmission fluid ( I think it may have been that but I didn't measure before doing the flush Oragex I thought the dexron 2 and mobil1 3309 were NOT in...

Re: 98 S70, N/A upper torque mount arm installation
I just did this yesterday, damn that was tough but after I finished I realized some of it was my own fault, few notes. Use the carriage bolts as shown! Dont do hex bolts like I did it'll never go in! The carriage bolts help it stay straighter. I used washers with electrical tape around them to stead...

Re: '97 850 GLT - Sheared off a bolt from the steering rack
Dry ice? I know its not as cold but if the bolt is rusted.... I know dry ice is easier to get (supposedly, I've never found it) could shock it to, dry ice it then hit it with a propane torch or hot water, maybe after enough itll shock it and weaken it and maybe hit it with a chisel and snap it in ha...

Re: Question about transmission flush method
Erikv11, this is interesting to me, if they only last about 10 years what is it that makes you replace them? I see nothing wrong with mine and I had to have a brake line changed which I had a mechanic do it O_O While it was there my father asked him to change the coolant as well which I partially wa...

Re: '97 850 GLT - Sheared off a bolt from the steering rack
It may not help but when I just replaced my rack I had to knock all of those bolts out to get it out, then when I put it back in I realized that the bolts would just spin while trying to get the nuts on (my nuts took a shtload of force to get back on so this may work) obviously I would suggest heati...

Re: Question about transmission flush method
Oh okay, I was reading the modified transmission flush on here and it was the opposite so it caused me alittle confusion, I may still drain the pan just in case anything has collected in it over the years otherwise that is how i will do it. I got the Valvoline max life full synthetic, it meets the v...
