Re: V70R P0101 MAF Mystery
Problem solved. The head gasket between cylinders #4 and #5 was leaking just enough to send me into the MAF, injector and coil codes for the longest time until it finally blew out in a smoke show. VIDA or Snap-On OBD scans never offered the possibility that the head gasket was shot. I really wished ...

V70r will not start when hot
After a ride on the highway for a couple of hours or an hour or so in city traffic, if I turn of the car it wont start again even when getting a boost. I need to let it cool off for an hour and a half before it will start. I changed the temp sender under the thermostat but that didn't change anythin...

Alternator insanity (Wrong part -2004, 2005- part break)
My alternator light never went on, nor did I get a warning in the message center that it was only charging 13 - 13.2 amps with all accessories off on an alternator that was less than 5 months old on my 2005 V70R. I believed that was the reason why after a highway run or an hour or so in traffic, it ...

2005 V70R Four-C module
Hi, does anyone know where to start when the light on the "comfort" setting went red one day, couldn't change the settings, then finally went out. Fuses are all good so should I start with the module?

Re: Parts failure poll: P2 Volvos: V70/S60/XC70 from 2001-2007
Hooo boy... 2005 V70R M6. In the last year and a half ( because I love the car ) 244K I've had to change.. Hood latch cable, parking brake cables, front link kits, head gasket, (includes head planning, valve stem seals, timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, PCV, etc..) AWD Haldex module with the...

V70R "No oil pressure" warning light
It's been 12k since Ive changed the head gasket (valve stem seals, planed the head, etc..etc.. and though I'm due for another oil change, I've been getting a " no oil pressure,,stop immediately" warning light flicker at idle after it's run for an hour or so. When the head gasket blew out a...

Re: I need your help
Regarding whenever ordering parts online and mentioning MVS isn't a problem and actually would be my pleasure, however I've been disappointed with IPD's inventory on more than one occasion. My head gasket on my V70R let go and I was prepared to order everything that entailed changing it..( gasket ki...

Re: V70R P0101 MAF Mystery
UPDATE: After 3 starts, the check engine light lit up and the hell started all over again, except now I was slowly losing coolant. I changed the reservoir cap since I couldn't find any leaks and there was no steam coming out of the exhaust. ( the oil cap and oil on the dipstick looked good ) The sam...

Re: V70R P0101 MAF Mystery
I'm still wondering if the MAF that I replaced is the cause and if the "R" MAF isn't the same as a regular 2.5. Again, thanks for the help. The MAF P/N is different between the R and the 2.5. The sensor hardware is the same the internal SOC uses different calibration data. Thanks for the ...

Re: V70R P0101 MAF Mystery
Thanks mrbrian200. I'm going to look into your advice as a next step since Swedespeed hooked me up with a contact where I can find a wastegate replacement since it's still sticking. If that doesn't work, I'm cutting off the catalytic to see if its blocked or restricted and re-welding it if it's ok. ...
