Ok, then I will just put it inside the antenna ring like the rest of you guy and move it away from the actual cylinder so my new key doesn't interfere.abscate wrote: 16 Sep 2019, 22:06 No, and more than one key on a ring can also confuse the immobilizer

Re: Mounting start button on old S70?
I have another problem in my S70, the immobilizer never sleeps, so my antenna ring is always illuminated. That might be the cause of my IMMOB fault and start/fail cycle, and Im pretty confident of that.
In my car, its start, stall. Count to three, start again, and drive away.
Sounds odd but ...

Re: Mounting start button on old S70?
On a 1999, the ECM will not like having the key in constant proximity to the antenna, and might give a code for this. Its a non CEL code, so you won't see it, but you might get a start stall cycle, followed by a successful start and run cycle after that. There is no other reason to think you new ...

Mounting start button on old S70?
So I recently swapped my lock cylinder to one I got at the scrap. I taped my old key behind the antenna so I didn't have to program my "new" keys. Now I'm thinking, would it be possible to hook up a start button in case my new key starts having problem starting the car. Do anyone have a schematic of ...

Funny story.
About two years ago I seeked help in this thread regarding the lock. I never ended up replacing it, instead I opened the "lock box" with a dremel like this thread suggested. The Wheel lock was disabled, but it solved my "key spinning 360 degrees" issue. In Sweden we have these annual ...

as I was about to change the oil on my Mercedes automatic gearbox. Then I sold the car before I did it, so I have about 10 liters of this stuff.

Re: SRS Light On S70 t5
Borrowing this thread. On my S70 -99 the SRS light tends to light on for a few seconds when I start the car and then it turns off again. Is this some indicator that something is wrong? I have checked error codes but haven't found anything.
