The ring gear looks good although I didn't rotate it to see all of it. If it is the ring gear that's bad then idk what I will do, a little bit out of my realm.

Not an engine speed issue. Happens as soon as I start the car and is constant. I just pulled the starter out and the teeth on the pinion (I think that's what you call it lol) were chipped and the damn thing was stuck. Waiting for a new starter to be shipped and I think my problem is solved, I hope ...

I wouldn't say so. Sounded the same no matter what speed I was at, but then again was only driven for a few blocks after it happened.

Just grinding sounds, no rattling or knocking. I will try that when I'm home this evening, thanks for the advice.

Luckily it was only driven home a few blocks like this and has only been started 2-3 times to try and diagnose. Will throw in a new starter this weekend and see if that gets rid of the grinding. Thanks

And to be more specific it is definitely a metal on metal loud grinding sound.

it is coming from more of the left side. I said if I'm looking at the engine it's comin from the right. Should've said the noise sounds like it's coming more from the driver side of the engine, excuse my stupidity lol Will check the mounts nonetheless
