The AWD is the big culprit. Though of course being higher doesn't help either. V70 AWDs also have terrible fuel economy.

Re: Is every XC70 a turbo? I think it is...

The T6 used a GM transmission. Which does not seem to have a bad rep in the configuration that GM used in their cars.. later the same six speed that was used for the P3s came along, not sure for which engines though. Other than that I haven't really heard anyone blame failure on the torque and power...

Re: Can you check a timing belt without taking it off?

If you want a warranty repair of the engine to be a three- sigma event, which you do for both cost and marketing reasons, you will build in about 100% margin into the MTBF for the service interval. Ozone and oil are the big belt enemies. If you drive the car like an adult in between the 2000-4000 r...

Performed the only repair so far this year in about 15 000 km; replaced a rear bulb.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)

I've got a big old Onkyo stereo receiver and some old school speakers sitting on top of my garage cabinets. Something more modern would be cool, but I love that old thing... it has a ton of power! I believe my grandfather bought it in 1980... still works great! I even hooked up a 3.5mm auxiliary ca...

Re: Anal retentive

On these sliding calipers I've gotten away with just pulling the caliper hard towards me. That compresses the Piston enough to remove them easily. No need to pry and risk making marks in the rotor.

Marked as solved and new posts on the phone Topic is solved

I'm having issues hitting the little red flag to go the first unread post on threads that are flagged as solved. I mostly hit the solved link and get to that post instead.

Anyone else?

Re: 2006 V70 rear swaybar endlinks ? Topic is solved

There used to be a police chassis kit to improve handling. Especially with the heavy load all police cars carry as standard. It mostly contained thicker sway bars front and rear so they must be quite important for handling.

Mine also has one and handles quite well for a soft road cruiser.
