Re: Did a 2009 P2 V70 exist?

MY2008 hade both P2 and P3 V70s over here. No P2s after, no P3s before.

I replaced them all with the same size silicone hose. Doesn't seem to have made a difference from the original different sizes. 6mm ID or something though best just measure.

Re: Coronavirus Thread

It’s painful watching states reopen with case loads growing. Absolute;y Moronic Completely baffling. I've been trying to figure out if there's some new infrastructure I'm not aware of or if I'm the only sane one. I also recognize that I've been getting more lax about social distancing - my personal...

Re: Radiator protection?

I'm not sure about "lifting the front end" as Oragex mentioned. My dealer simply replaced the springs, struts, and related hardware which brought my cars front end back to it's original height. In fact after replacement my car drove better than it had in years. I tend to zip down the highway 90mph+...

Re: A/C on-off switch

It's the normal behaviour. It's used for reducing the air moisture level in certain conditions apart from actually just cooling when it's hot. It shouldn't run a lot though. And yes it's supposed to reset whenever you start the car. With the caveat that I haven't actually seen one of these without E...

Re: Slipping on ice

I always get a much shorter braking distance by pumping the brakes, like our fathers did. Much shorter than ABS can do (if it can). I've tried that numerous times but the result is always that it's quite useless when it's actually really slippery. I've tried on several cars as well. A firm press bu...

Re: Slipping on ice

How old are your tires? How many studs left? This is my question as well. Personally I find it very noticeable when the tyres loose grip and the cars tech tries to help out. So it's quite easy to tell the two apart. This goes both for braking and accelerating. Regarding ABS it's not supposed to opt...

Re: V70 wheel and tire size

And only the NA will take 15". Turbos 16". Except for the R and police versions which requires 17".

Re: V70 wheel and tire size

The 15" wheels feel much less stable in corners but if you ignore the feeling a bit the actual difference isn't huge as as long as you're driving like it's your own car.
