Yes! I always measure it on my own driveway with the car always in the same position.
Same engine temperature?
Yes, always with a cold engine (car not used for at least 8 hours).

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

So today I did the glove test to check out the condition of the pcv system on my S70. I do that monthly. Everything was okay. Then I checked the oil level. I write down the mileage everytime I fill it up to max and write the mileage again if the oillevel hits the MIN mark on the dipstick so I get an...

Re: Little rough idle 2.9 i6

Yeah, these kinds of cartrouble are a bit hard to solve because there are a variety of reasons why an engine has a rough idle. Did you check: * The battery? * The spark plugs? (maybe they're worn out or incorrectly gapped) * The airfilter? * Vacuum lines? * Fuel injectors? (maybe they're partially b...

Re: Running power to trunk for a subwoofer?

“You can pry that plug out and if you insert a powercable through the hole...” Smokey the bear says:- Please pass any cables THROUGH the rubber bungs or plugs, never run a cable through an unprotected hole in the fire wall or you’ll have just that - a wall ‘o fire . This also means a fuse at the ba...

Re: Running power to trunk for a subwoofer?

Thanks for that. Any tips on where to pass a wire through the firewall? If you open the hood and look to the upper left corner of the engine bay, below the pressure lines of the AC, you'll see a rubber plug. You can pry that plug out and if you insert a powercable through the hole, it will appear i...

Re: My S70's road to LPG

Well I've got a little update for you all concerning the lit CEL on my S70 after the LPG conversion. I've been back to the LPG-mechanic for a second time and I have to say, the CEL stays of and hasn't lit up for the last 5 days. I've noticed that the accelerating, under part load and full load, is a...

Re: Recommendation for touch up paint and clear coat?

What I did was visiting a good paint/autopartsstore and asked them to mix the Nautic Blue (colorcode 417) with two components clear coat in the same aerosolcan. Then I visited a good buddy of mine who is also a good polisher/painter (it's his job) and he carefully sprayed the many scratches in the f...

Re: Placing an active subwoofer in my S70 (spaghetti mess)

Very cool addition. Which stereo do you have in your car? I'd love to add this to my sc-815 but I don't think it has a line lev output. I wonder if there's some clever other way to do it. So I discovered a way to lift the bottom part of the back seat up. It seemed I was too nice to it and it just n...

Re: Placing an active subwoofer in my S70 (spaghetti mess)

You can lift the carpet quite easily, I swear I've seen on guide on here but can't find it :?: All it takes is to unclip a few trims https://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/16/41/73/43/14948210.jpg There's two grounds under the rear seat (bolt at the bottom right of the picture, taken pre-vaccuming ...
