Re: wipers running very slow on all speeds

Hello, I went ahead and took the wiper transmission apart and found one of the shafts completely siezed. I had to hammer out the shafts with a punch. I lubed them with antisieze and grease and the shafts work perfectly. Now I got another problem I can’t get the connecting arms to sync properly. I ma...

wipers running very slow on all speeds

I went to use my wipers today and their really slow. It seems their slow on all speeds. I’m guessing it’s maybe a relay that controls the speeds, like a blower resistor. I have a 1997 Volvo 850

Re: Update!! Wheels binding after rotor change

Hello, everyone I finally figured it out. I bought a set of Zimmerman rotors from fcp euro and they fit like a glove with the duralast gold pads. Well I definitely learned my lesson when I buy parts for these Volvo’s. No offense to Rock Auto but I was really in the clouds on this one, I never expect...

Update!! Wheels binding after rotor change

Well I posted in my previous thread about my progress I’m seriously thinking it’s the rotors. I tried different pads and new seal kits.

Re: Can't spin tire after tightening lug nuts after brake job

I just forgot mention I did replace the front wheel bearing hubs at one time with cheap wheel hubs they have been holding up. If I can recall what brand my old rotors were I believe they were Volvo originals and I did replace the pads at one time with Hella Pagid pads. I never had problem with anyth...

Re: Can't spin tire after tightening lug nuts after brake job

Hello everyone, I went back and replaced the seals in both calipers and there wasn’t hardly any rust inside the calipers. I bolt the wheel on the same binding is happening again. I’m about ready to pull my hair out!!! I got a hold of a little 10mm bolt to align the rotor and even this little bolt ca...

Re: Can't spin tire after tightening lug nuts after brake job

Well I went to autozone and measured the rotors they had in stock. They measure 1.030. I’m gonna order some duralast golds and see what happens. Also here is a pic of the caliper, I can’t press the piston any further back with a clamp.

Wagner part number:BD125319
Bendix: SBM542

Yes the wheels spin easily when the wheels are not torqued, both wheels are off the ground, I have to lightly push on the caliper while pushing the slide pins inward. Maybe the caliper piston is slightly binding ??
