S80 electronics

Post by Ramunas »

Month ago I have bought s80, after one week the problems started to show up. There are mainly two problems, first is when the engine is hot it starts only after ~3-5 seconds. Another is after half an hour of driving when the speed is above 130km/h the power decreases and you have a feeling that you are driving not VOLVO but FIAT or even LADA. Error codes are showing there are some communication errors between computers. VOLVO authorised service is not able to determine exact problem. Who can help? For good advice I will send a good bottle of champagne. My e-mail is [email protected]

If Volvo authorised technicians can't find the problem, I don't have any advice, except to go to another Volvo dealer or independent Volvo mechanic. :?

Good luck with that and let us know what happens.

Hi,

VOLVO dealers at last (after 8 visits) found a problem in my S80 (2,9 petrol) Before that it was going badly, the engine could hardly reach 4000 turns, above that it was losing the power than again gaining than again losing and it was terrible to drive. The computer showed ignition problems, misfiring of cylinders and etc. So the problem was in fuel pump, it could not feed the engine with needed amount of fuel. I changed the pump and the problems disappeared.

Good luck.
