Picture bank!

Disconnect the negative terminal , more on this later.

The switch is under the air cleaner, so you have to get thst out of the way. Undo the band clamp on the snorkel. I find it’s much easier to Pop the cleaner out of the snorkel by breaking it down into the top half and bottom, like replacing the air filter

If you label your parts with the FCP order number it makes return bookkeeping a snap!

The connector is a squeeze and lift, two pin connector. Hot on one side , normally open. Engaging reverse gear closes the switch

You need a deep 22 mm socket to get the switch loose, my big boys were thick and only picked up half of the flats on the switch. A cheap thinner walled socket would be better.

Tighten it to the stop, non critical torque , maybe 5-10 Nm

Confession - I didn’t disconnect the neg, figuring I was working away from the battery. Swung the breaker , hit the pos terminal and welded a nice divot out of it with the discharge. Good practices should be followed, not optional . Imagine if that bar had welded it self to the positive? Ugh.

22mm deep socket needed for this removal. Non critical torque, just snug it up
