placement of resinator and drone?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

I don't know about that. Cherry Bombs aren't exactly quiet, I don't think drone is going to be your problem vs the exhaust noise..

I remember when every big-ass lifted truck had dual exhausts with Cherry Bombs. I didn't know people were still using them.

I haveone on my 95 civic and it sounds nice I don't now why all the videos on youtube sound like crap but its actualy quieter then the old cart can I had on there. I think you just need pipe on the end. Mine is where the cat is supposed to be, on the volvo I think ill just put it where the stock muffler was n see what happens

Install the muffler/resonator UNDER THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR, no rear resonator
A 2.5" should not drone with it being done this way
If you have a straight pipe underneath and a rear muffler it can drone
(Tips do nothing)

You also may NOT want to use a cherry bomb and buy a "nicer" performance muffler, resonator

I would get a nicer one but im trying to keep it on a budget and a cherry bomb is only like 20 bucks. Any one heard of a flow tech muffler its only 20 bucks too and looks decent

Who cares how it looks it's way under the car
You need an 18-20" center muffler/resonator

i get what JRL is saying, KEEP the center resonator thats right after the Cat. i did wondering if removing it would help or hurt performance?
so whats a good sounding rear muffler thats NOT going to sound like a cheap fart can or rice burner!!!
anyone running Magnaflows.

Again
You're not listening
Keep the center resonator for now, replace the REAR resonator with a straight pipe
If that's not loud enough, most any decent aftermarket muffler resonator that fits in the middle will work
