240 Windshield replacement - Can I do this?

Just wanted some info. I need to replace the windshield on my 89 240 and have never done it before. Is it easy to do or should I have my mechanic do it. I do most of the work on my 240 but this is new to me. Thanks for any help!

As it is a bonded windscreen fixed with special adhesives it is better to leave it to a specialist.

Bill, Thanks for the reply! That's what I was assuming. I found a company that will come to my place for $180 total. That seemed reasonable.

£113 - that is a very good price. Over here it would be a lot more than that.

I noticed that your location is RI,as in "Rhode Island?" If so, many state laws mandate that your car insurance replace the windshield at full cost. In other words, the insurance company will pick up the tab.
