XC70 2004 Radio Removal
I want to install an IPOD pickup in my XC70. I've found some discussion on removing a radio from the S60 but not an XC70. My question(s): is the removal procedure for the XC70 the same as the S60 and, if so, is there a suggested tool for prying off the trim piece/pen holder at the base of the radio/climate control console? Any other guidance to prevent scratching/damage will be much appreciated.

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
The procedure is the same. To remove the pen holder you need 2 weather strip tools. These are two pieces of firm plastic which you can either buy or make yourself.
You can see a picture of the tool here.
Bill.
