ETM 2002 S60 T5 questions

Hello all,
I just registered on the forum....although I have poked around now and then when I encounter a problem with the car.
But now I need help.
I've had recent ETM problems
I Read-up here about the 10 year 200k recall.
Called my dealer to see if my car was included ( answer yes. great!) ( cause I told them I didn't want to waste the time and money there if I was going to be better off sending it out to XemodeX)
I dropped it off monday, and told them to keep it until it did what it had to to be replaced (don't want the family in it again until repaired)
Got a call today that codes point to the ETM, but was told the ETM unit on my car is not part of the recall??? Is this True?
They suggest, upgrading the software, and going from there, but could not provide a price for the replacement ETM yet, if the software is not succesful.
I questioned how a software upgrade would fix what is really a mechanical problem with the ETM.
So my questions at this point are ...
Is the ETM on a 2002 S60 T5 different than the recall unit?
Is the service manager just yanking my chain?
Does XemodeX do the modifications to correct the problem on "my Style" unit if it is not the "true" recalled unit.
What do I do now?
Anyone?

Some 2002 non-turbo models did have MM ETM’S, however your car is equipped with an ETM made by Bosch and these are not affected by the recall.
We do rebuild Bosch units and have the 8677866 throttles in stock. Unlike the MM units no software download is needed, however it will need to be calibrated via VIDA upon installation.
