G'day Mathew,
I have a 1995 850 and I have two problems.
1 / The glove box is stuck shut and I am un-able to open it after being extremely persistent trying every thing under the sun to get it open. Do you have any special trick ?
2 / There is a light on the bottom right side (as far right as possible) of the dash. It looks like a triangle with some type of symbol inside that is showing up and I do not know what the symbol stands for. My service manual is stuck in the glove box so I can not look it up.
Can you give me any assistance here ?
Best regards,

Here's a fix for the dashboard... it's by a guy named Rich, and I found it on Brickboard.com. I haven't performed this, so I can't comment on the validity of it:
That means you have an emissions system problem -- or at least something in that system is reporting a value outside normal parameters. I had this light come on and after getting the code read by the dealer, I found I needed to replace the front oxygen sensor. The part was ~$125 US and the labor was me

As for the light, it's called the Lambda (Greek: sorry don't know what it means in translation) light, and it means 'check engine.'The internal portion of your latch is broken. In order to get in, to replace it you have to get the glove box open. Wrap a 12" pry bar with a rag and pry the door open as far as you can without destroying it. Look at the wire latch center top, that needs to be cut, I use an air saw with a hack saw blade, being very careful not to ding the covering on the door. Once the wire latch is cut the door will open and you can take the back of the door apart to replace the latch assembly. (it's a kit you buy) Make sure you buy the wire latch you cut as well. --
