Hello,
I tried to find this and could not come up with an answer.
89 245 non turbo
Florida
240 k ++ right now
Automatic
I did have the T Belt replaced by Pep Boys about 2 and a half years ago at 193k
I placed my trust in them and paid them for the front seals and for the tensioner. Hoping I received what I paid for, I am now at about 47-48k on this belt.
Do I still have some more time and miles on it? or should it be around schedule for replacement?
I know that I can easliy open the cover for inspection but what are your thoughts with our cars?
Thanks
Eric

50,000 miles (80,000kms) or 5 years whichever comes first.
There is no mileage/time set for the tensioner but it should be replaced if it looks or sounds dodgy.
The saving grace with the B230F engine is it is non-interference so if the belt does snap you should have no valve damage.
Bill.

Thank you Bill.
Good news! I'll save that ($$) repair for next year some time.
Unless my belt looks to have premature wear.
Thanks again.
