water problem

1987 volvo 740 gle. water backing up thru filler tank. back flushed the system and refilled slowly with heater on full. did not help. i think i hear the water pump sqealing could this cause this. a faulty water pump or any other ideas

Is it the water pump squealing or the drive belt? Either way the water pump won't be working properly and could cause the overflow as the water isn't circulating as needed.
