Secondary Air Injection System-98S70

Got a Check Ingine light with the P0410 code, its Secondary Air Injection system. I have to get emmisions inspection by the end of the month...and don't have the $$ to fix the $400 air pump.
Any ideas around this? just to get through emmisions?

Reset it, and then run and get it inspected before it comes back! Then see if it comes back. I dealt with an intermittent CEL on mine from the air pump for ~3 months before I actually fixed it. Avoid idling for long periods, that's usually when mine triggered.

OK, so I tested the $400 dollar air pump and its working

, but the P0410 code is still there! Is there anything else that could be setting off the check engine light? anything else I could check? thoughts?

Mine worked too, it just whined a lot and threw lights, I'm not quite sure why. I think maybe it had a hard time getting going.

It could also be thrown by broken vacuum lines I suspect. Look closely at the one leading into the SAS valve. That valve in itself could have gone bad too.
