Ticking noise from front passenger tire

I have a noise that sounds like a card in a bicycle tire...its a rubbing/ticking from the front passenger tire...it goes faster as I increase speed and eventually quiets a little.
Could it possibly be the front brake pads rubbing???(they are in need of changing)
I did have the car inspected two months ago and it had to have a new rack and pinion on the drivers side and a control arm on the passenger side.
Any ideas on what to check for would be great, Im not good at identifying issues with suspension.

Check to see if you have a nail or a screw in the tread of the tire.

very well could be a nail, but also could be a cv shaft. also check the tires, a "feathered" tire will produce some noise. also a "cupped" tire. With that said, your alignment would be responsible for tire wearing issues.

The thoughts that come to my mind are:

1) Warped rotors grabbing. Do your brakes shake badly when applied? If not, ignore this one.
2) CV joint
3) Bearing

Honestly, the best thing to do would be to jack up that side of the car, put it in Neutral...make sure your parking brake is set...yes, I have made that mistake before

...and spin the wheel and see what, if anything is catching or making a noise.

Also check for:

* fender liner sagging

* pebble caught between the tire treads

* steelies & wheel caps? debris inside it?
