Hi Group,
I just changed my oil on my 740 2.3 liter non-turbo. It has 251k on same. The problem I'm having is that at idle it slows almost to a point where it wants to stall and sometimes it does. Prior to the oil change it was just under 1000rpm and now it dances around 750-500 and below. I'm guessing it's the ventilation(PCV) as I hear no vacuum leaks.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

The idle speed should be 750rpm.
How long is it since the PCV was cleaned? It could have some bearing on the problem.
Also clean the air control valve and the throttle body. Adjust the throttle body linkage and throttle position sensor.
Bill.
