Okay guys another update, just had the codes pulled by another garage, we have got code: ECM-510F. Speed signal too high permanently. Can anybody offer me any further info about this code? for example what can trigger it?

Hey guys just a thanks for all your advice and an update on the issue. It turned out to be the righthand front abs sensor. On removal and inspection the tip of the sensor had been physically damaged by the split abs ring. I imagine that under centrifugal forces the edge moved outwards and assaulted the sensor tip most violently! lol. Anyway enough of the comic strip humour, my car now drives flawlessly and will pass it's annual MOT inpection! Rock on Matthews Volvo Site.!!! - regards Al.
