card just died dashboard warn lights like Xmas

Post by p0shr »

My 1992 Volvo 940 Turbo is making me nervous.
She just stopped on the street and it seemed all the dashboard warning lights went on
Tow truck guy thought it might be a fuel pump???
I need to move her today and would dearly appreciate some quick advice.
Thanks,
Paul

When the engine dies all of the dash lights will come on as the ignition is still on.

Usually when a fuel pump goes the engine will splutter to a halt as the fuel supply is used up. If it just stopped I would suspect the timing belt has snapped. This is easy to check by removing the top section of the timing belt cover.
