Post by ElDuster420 »

I have a 2001 Volvo V70 T5. and when the car is at optimal operating temperature it does this acceleration "thing". It almost feels like its hesitating, but thenagain it dosent. its very weird it feels like for a split second i let off the gas but I havent. The rpms on the tach dont change at all. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HELP ME PLEASE! I love LOVE LOVE LOVE my car, and i would hate for anything to happen to it. I hope someone can help us out..

Thanks- ElDuster and Family.

Sounds like you may be having an Electronic throttle issue. Check the spark plug coils for cracking for good measure though.

Your ETM is still covered under the 10-year Volvo warranty, but you may have to argue with the dealer that this is your issue.

Here is a good bit about cleaning the ETM module though...it is on an S80, but still very similar.
