Camshaft and O2 codes?

Post by percvdrlty »

Hello, This is my first post on this site and it concerns my first volvo, which I purchased about a month ago (actually I traded my Rover for it and even with these problems, I feel like I got the better end of the deal).

Anyway, I have 103K on the 2.4L Turbo engine (99 v70 glt). I just replaced the serp and timing belt, making sure that the timing marks were dead on. The water pump wasn't leaking and the rollers/tensioners all looked good so I didn't change them out. I had no oil leaks, and the engine is remarkably clean. I also just replaced the spark plugs, which were in great need of replacing.

So the day after I got the car, the c.e.l. came on (my guess is that he cleared it just before signing the title over to me). I got two codes: P0013 and P0134. These codes came up before the belt change, and then 50m later, after the belt change. For these past 50 miles, the timing felt fine and not sluggish. I do have a bit of pulsing in the idle, however, which, according to this site, makes me suspect that the ETM is on its way out. But the rpm's only fluctuate by 100 or so on the low end and 200 on the high.

The previous owner informed me that he recently changed the O2 sensors (both). In the morning I will check the wires and connectors.

Does anyone have any ideas about these codes? What can I do to get this cel off?

Thanks
