Anybody know how to change the indicator lights for the radio and the shift lever on a 1999 V70XC?

For the shifter, you will have to remove the entire center console. It's not extremely difficult, just a bit annoying.
Under the armrest you will find a little cover at the bottom of the compartment. Once removed, unscrew the 2 screws. Undo the cover around the handbrake lever by pushing to the left. Unplug the electrical wiring. There should be 2 junctions to the power sockets. Then lift it directly up.
You will have to get that bulb from a Volvo dealer or supplier, I have not found one anywhere else.
As for the radio, pay a visit to a Honda dealer, and here's a write-up for doing that:
