radiator mount crossmember on 98 volvo glt
RECENTLY GOT A 1998 S70 VOLVO ONE WING ON RADIATOR MOUNT BROKEN RADIATOR SAGS ON RIGHT SIDE NOTHING LEAKING, GOT UNDER THOUGH THERE WOULD BE A BOTTOM RADIATOR MOUNT. THEY SELL THEM ON LINE. MY CAR DOES NOT HAVE ONE AND NO RADIATOR SPLASH GUARD. SHOULD SOMETHING BE THERE BESIDES JUST TWO WING ON RADIATOR. I AM NEW TO VOLVOS. THANK FOR AND HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME
The radiator has two mounting points to the car - there are large plastic flanges (wings) molded into the plastic end tanks of the radiator, one on each side. These flanges have a large diameter holes in them, with a rubber bushing and metal sleeve installed in both. There are mounting bolts that come up from underneath the car, and attach to corresponding threaded sleeves in the front bulkhead of the car. There are no other attachment points for the radiator (nothing on the bottom). The A/C condensor mounts to the front of the radiator with four screws, two top, two bottom. The cooling fan mounts to the back of the radiator with two plastic locating fins that slide in to corresponding holes in the bottom of the radiator frame, as well as four screws (two large, two small) at the top of the radiator.
There is a large plastic air dam/air guide that runs underneath the radiator - here's a link:

Sounds like your car may have bottomed out hard enough to tear off the air guide and more importanly the radiator mount - I'd check for more evidence of damage (i.e. oil pan, subframe, suspension, front spoiler etc.). You'll want to take care of that radiator - when that other mount fails(and it will), you'll likely lose the A/C condensor, A/C lines, transmission oil cooler lines, turbo oil cooler lines and coolng fan.
