I own a 1999 s80T with 105K. Once in a while I get "DSTC service required" message.
Can anyone comment on this?
My mechanic did not see any faults.

Fix Rattling Tailgate
All the ABS control units (Installed on 96 and newer 850, 70 series and S80 models), including the STC and DSTC will eventually fail after they reach 65,000 miles or 5 years. The average is 85,000 miles and/or 6 years for failures.

Next time it happens note if you were braking and going over rough pavement. I bet when you turn the car off and back on, the problem is gone. My S80 does the same thing and I think it is just a function of the DTSC trying to work but not having contact with the pavement during corrective action.Iammad wrote:I own a 1999 s80T with 105K.
