Would anyone happen to know where exactly is located the 1993-1997 Volvo 850 ACC Cabin Temperature Sensor and how it is possible to reach it?
Here it is:

Behind each of the grab bars above the door. There is a little vent than can be pried off with a screwdriver. I would take a picture, but my S70 doesn't have them there.

Take a can of compressed air (or a shop vac on the blowing side) and blow out each of the sensors before you go about ordering new ones, and they may still work just fine :)

The temp sensor on a V40 is integrated into the climate control module in the dash itself. Look for a little vent that you can blow out with a can of compressed air.

If that doesn't work and the sensor is bad, the entire module needs to be replaced (head to a junkyard/used parts site!)

There is a problem with the question in that yes there are sensors in the grab handles above the front doors but there is also a sensor in the plenum near the blower motor and also one in with the red light on the dashboard for sun load. So there is four I know of on my 850.

hi the spring fell out of my sensor! If u look at the pic here,
IMAG0209.jpg
is there anyway i can just put it back in? it didn't look broken. Just looked like it fell out.. Here is my post about it. please answer there if u can, because my blower motor stopped working and gave a power stage code then 1 day it just turned on but still flashing the lights. so i looked up the code and got 124 and 126 interior temp sensors. But my question is, If the powerstage died and threw a code, how come it is working now? And why did the sensors go? My blower motor makes allot of noise and needs to be changed would this cause resistance and blow the sensor maybe? But i can't clear these codes. It says i clear them but then i press it right after and the code is there so im wondering if i should just go to the junkyard get a blower motor and 2 temp sensors, even know i think its just the driver's side that broke cause thats where the spring fell out. plz help!

That's not a spring. That is the thermistor, the heart of the sensor. It looks like a spring because the leads, the wires connected to it, are coiled so as to have a lot of contact with the air being sucked by it.

Mine also fell out, but I can't find it. I need to get a 10k ohm NTC thermistor and solder it in. See this thread:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/archive/i ... 22093.html

But I don't know how to get the assembly out yet. Anyone?
