Two simple '02 S60 auto AWD questions

I just bought an '02 S60 AWD for my kids. I want to clean the crud from the prior owner's spilled coffee etc. from the nooks and crannies around the shifter area at the front of the center console. Two questions:

1. How does the large flat gray plastic trim piece that surrounds the shifter come up? If it just pries up without any fasteners, do you pry from the back, front, etc?

2. At the front of the trim piece described above is a little narrow trim piece that has a rubber clip to hold a pen or whatever. How does that come off?

Just don't want to find out after the fact I did it wrong and broke something. Thanks.

q #1, plastic trim is pried from the back.

q#2, plastic pen holder trim is removed with small flat screwdriver from the side.
