Hello,
I own a Volvo 2001 S60 T5 and the car performs great, however, I have been experiencing some electronic issues. When I am using my air conditioner and everything is working fine there are no problems. Then something happens electronically, which is weird. My air condition fan stops, and no cold air comes out of the vents, and then more weird things begin. I cannot open my sunroof, and my outside thermometer air temperature gauge starts dropping and will get as low as 30 or 34 degrees, even when the outside temperature is 90 degrees. The condition may last a few minutes or may last for ours. Then for no reason, the air conditioner starts blowing cold air, the outside temperature gauge starts rising to the outside air temperature and the sunroof will operate properly.
I have taken my car to a repair shop and they say the air conditioner compressor is working fine and the refrigerant levels are at the proper pressures. They have told me that when I experience the problem to come back without an appointment and they will try to diagnose what may be causing this problem.
My general question is, has any had this problem and what was done to correct it?

Sounds like a dirty or loose ground. Check the battery for clean and tight terminals as well as the grounds under the hood.
It could be the fan motor shorting out as well. You will have to do some electrical investigating.
Sorry but haven't seen this condition on a S60 yet.
Most of the 850 S70 owners have mysterious problems when the battery is going bad as well as the cables getting corroded internally. You may want to have your battery and alternator checked.
