740 starts but stalls when given gas

I have a 1985 740 GLE non turbo that has 311,000 miles on it. Wife drove it to work the other day and it ran fine for about 30 miles than just lost power. It will start and idle but as soon as you give it gas it stalls out. Any ideas?

Sounds like lack of fuel problem.

poss clogged filter
bad main fuel pump
bad intank pump or splitted intank pump hose
bad air mass meter
etc......
