Ive got a 2000 S80 with a bad ETM. I'm about to order one from XemodeX.
My mechanic got specific ETM codes and the car is out of the 10 yr warranty by 20 days.. Volvo won't help.
The transmission slips from 2-3. And when it really heats up, the car is a slug. I get 'transmission service urgent'
Had the tranny fluid and filter changed already.. didn't help.
Once i install the new throttle, is there a chance the transmission will turn out okay? I've read about ETMs causing false transmission problems. Just checking to see if that was true or not.

Have your trany scanned for codes, you probably have solenoid codes stored. Replacing the ETM will not correct slip from 2nd to 3rd.
