volvo xc 90 brakes

I am a first time volvo owner. My brakes make a moaning noise and I was wondering if this is something I should be worried about. I am not at all knowledgeable in the workings of a vehicle, and would like to have some idea as to why this would happen. My vehicle is only 6 months old, I dont have very many miles on it and do a combination of highway and start and stop driving. It has only been making this noise for a month, and mainly when I back up and apply a light brake. I can be backing straight up or turning and backing up but the result is the same noise. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Most info I have found was for squealing or chirping but not for a moan.

I had a similar problem that wound up being the emergency brake. The dealer said something to the effect of "it was too tight". It was basically slightly engaged at all times, even when released. They loosened it and the moans disappeared.
