99 S70 - ticking noise from dash

Post by sataie »

hi, just bought a 99S70 and there is a very annoying, relay like ticking noice when the car is moving from benhind the dash. it doesn't slow down or speed up, but only when the car is moving. it seems to be from behind the dash on the driver's side. all lights and everything seems to be working. ticking is like whne the turn signal is on. has to be a relay clicking off & on. any ideas???

so, the turn signal and flashers are working properly on mine. do I just change the switch relay or something else??? Volvo sure is making crap since late 90s.... guess they had to compete with the rest of the garbage in the market.

Let me know if you want a good Volvo mechanic in the DFW area. Your problem sounds like a classic '99+ electrical demon. I'm not familiar w/ the repair procedure for it however.
