Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

oxgyen sensor

Post by otis »

Hey my name is Otis, I live in Roxie, Mississippi and I own a 2000 Volvo s80 2.9 non tubo it has 184000 miles on it. The check engine light come on and I went to AutoZone the code reader said Bank 1 Sensor 2 was bad so I changed two sensors on top of the exhaust manifolds they called it upsterms. On driver side I used Bosch 17036 and Passgaer side 17035 and my check engine light is still on. I did disconnent the batter before I did anything. My first question is do the check engine light need to be reset or did I change the worng sensor? and my second question is are those the right sensors and are they in the right place? Can anyone help me please?!?! Thank you!!

You changed the wrong sensor

It is the second one inline on the side with the number one cylinder. You changed the first inline on both sides

Once the new sensor is in, after a few miles the computer will turn that light off.

I replace the two remaining sensors that they had. I started the motor up and the check engine light was off. I would like to thank JDS60R and 537playing for the help and info.
Thank You very much!
