98 v70 fixing hazard relays with broken clips

Post by unsped »

this may be a no brainer... but ill add anyways.

not sure if this is the same on other v70's, but my hazard module (relay / dash button) side clips have broken, which lead to the hazard module creeping out of the dash. push it in, and it slowly slides back out due to the springyness of the harness connected to it etc..

i was thinking about putting some glue on the flanges of the relay housing and pushing it in flush with the dash housing, but if the relay ever went bad it could spell trouble removing it.

a quick fix, wrap electrical tape around the hazard relay where it seats into the dash opening. now when you push the relay back into the dash it fits very snuggly, not going to pop out, but yet easily removable.
