What is the opinion of installing one of these Tornado fuel savers into the air intake? I know someone who has one they claim it works!

Useless garbage; don't bother.

A college friend had one in a Jetta; I asked what kind of gas mileage he got without it, so he took it out. His gas mileage went UP!

Snake oil. If it were so easy to get better fuel economy why wouldn't car makers have done this to all their cars?

Ninety-nine percent of these "saves fuel!!" things rely on the incredible capacity of the human brain to fool itself. "I paid good money for this so it must work". I just know my engine runs better when I wax my car - its true, I do. The person who claims the tornado thing works probably really believes it unless he just happens to sell them (and maybe even then).
